Spooky town trail to take over Altrincham this Halloween

There's a packed programme of events for children and adults.

Altrincham is getting into the Halloween spirit this month with the return of a spooky town centre trail and a packed programme of events for children and adults.

Count Alty’s Fang-tastic Halloween Town Trail will run from Monday October 26 to Sunday November 1, inviting families to hunt for vampires, black cats, bats, ghosts and spiders hidden around the town.

Organised by Altrincham BID, the team behind Visit Altrincham, the free trail will see Count Alty arrive in town ahead of his big Halloween party – only to discover that his spooky friends have disappeared.

Families can collect a Halloween Trail Sheet from Everyman Altrincham before setting off to find the characters hidden in shop windows and other locations.

Some of the characters will also be carrying a special letter, with youngsters challenged to collect them all to reveal a hidden Halloween message.

The trail is part of a wider programme of Halloween and half-term events taking place across Altrincham during October.

Families can get creative at Halloween Art & Craft at Moge Moge, while Nell’s Pizza will host a Halloween Disco.

There are plenty of options for grown-ups too, including a Halloween Bottomless Brunch at Tre Ciccio, Hollywood Halloween at West Beverly and a full Halloween Weekend at House Kitchen & Bar.

Restaurants and cafés across the town will also be getting involved, with themed food including A Taste of the Dark Side at Nando’s and a Halloween Menu for Little Monsters at Memories.

And over the October half-term, Altrincham Garrick Playhouse will stage a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Mandy White, Altrincham BID Director, said: “With so much happening throughout October, visitors and locals are encouraged to download the Visit Altrincham App to find inspiration for Halloween days and nights out.

“The app is the perfect way to keep up with events, activities, places to eat, things to do and experiences for families, children and adults, making it easy to plan a Halloween visit to Altrincham.

“Whether you’re hunting for Count Alty’s spooky characters, looking for family-friendly activities during half term, planning a Halloween night out with friends or simply wanting to discover something new in Altrincham, there’s plenty to explore and the Visit Altrincham App has all the details.”
