Coffee chain 200 Degrees is set to open a new shop in Altrincham town centre, taking the last remaining retail unit created from the former Poundland store.
Branded hoardings were erected today outside the double-fronted premises at 3 George Street, confirming the Nottingham-founded company's arrival in Stamford Square, part of the Stamford Quarter.
The new coffee shop will join fashion and lifestyle retailers Oliver Bonas and FatFace, completing the letting of three units created when the former Poundland and Wilko premises were subdivided as part of a major redevelopment.

Where the new coffee shop will be located
Plans to transform the large retail space into three smaller shops were first revealed in May 2025, with the aim of attracting new names to the town centre.
Oliver Bonas was the first to move in, opening its George Street store in December 2025, while clothing brand FatFace subsequently announced plans to take another of the units.
200 Degrees was founded in Nottingham in 2012 and has since expanded into a national coffee business, operating over 20 coffee shops alongside its own roasting operation and barista training schools.
The company takes its name from the temperature, approximately 200°C, at which it roasts its coffee beans.

Its coffee shops serve freshly roasted coffee alongside sandwiches, pastries, cakes and other food.
In 2024, the business was acquired by the Nero Group, the parent company of Caffè Nero, although 200 Degrees continues to operate under its own brand.
The nearest existing 200 Degrees coffee shops to Altrincham are on Mosley Street in Manchester city centre and Wilmslow Road in Didsbury.
The new opening will add another option to Altrincham town centre's thriving coffee offer and mark a further milestone in the regeneration of Stamford Quarter.
There is no word yet on an opening date, although the company has already begun recruiting staff for the new Altrincham shop.
