A young man has “potentially life-threatening” injuries after being stabbed in a park in Broadheath this afternoon.
The emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to Whitlow Avenue in Broadheath at around 4.30pm this afternoon.
They found a man in Woodstock Park, believed to be in his early 20s, who had been stabbed “multiple times”.
After treatment in the park he was taken to hospital by land ambulance where he remains in a potentially life-threatening condition.
No arrests have been made and an investigation has been launched, with a section of Woodstock Park cordoned off for further enquiries.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers were called around 4.35pm today (Tuesday 15 June 2021) to a park close to Whitlow Avenue, Altrincham to a report that a male had been stabbed.
“Emergency services attended and enquiries established a man in his 20s had been stabbed multiple times.
“He has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries. Enquiries are ongoing.”
