Police have appealed for witnesses after a serious assault in Altrincham last weekend.
Officers say a man in his 30s was left with a large laceration to his head following the incident on Railway Street, which took place at around 3.10am on Saturday 28th September.
The victim was taken to hospital with injuries that were described as not life-threatening.
Six men aged between 18 and 35 were all arrested a short time later on suspicion of Section 18 assault. They have since been bailed.
Police have now appealed for any member of the public who may have vital information or footage to get in touch.
They say they are following several lines of enquiry.
Our officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the area that evening, or who perhaps lives on Railway Street or the surrounding area and has CCTV, dash cam, or doorbell footage.
PC Josh Smith, from GMP Trafford South, said: “We have been and are continuing to follow up on numerous lines of enquiry and we are now appealing to the public to get in touch with us, if they feel like they have any information that could be vital to our investigation.
“This was an isolated incident in the early hours of a Saturday morning on a street where numerous people would have been and may have seen the incident take place.
“We know that incidents of this nature are concerning for residents and businesses to hear about, we managed to arrest six men a few hours after the incident took place, they have since been bailed while we continue with our investigations.”
