St Vincent's Catholic Primary School is celebrating after being judged to be 'Outstanding' in its recent Ofsted inspection.
Following a two-day inspection in June, the Altrincham school was judged outstanding overall, and outstanding in every sub-category of assessment.
It was the school's first Ofsted inspection since 2011, when it was also judged to be outstanding.
Head teacher Anita Harrop said: "We are delighted that the Ofsted inspectors affirmed the outstanding judgement of St Vincent's Catholic Primary School.
"I am looking forward to building on our report by continuing to prioritise educational excellence alongside personal development, to ensure the very best quality of education for every pupil in our school."
The opening statement in the inspection report reads: "Pupils are happy and flourish at this exceptional school."
It continues: "Through exciting learning opportunities, children in the early years get off to a flying start.
"Pupils across the school are nurtured by staff who give them every opportunity to succeed and to shine. They are exceedingly well prepared for the next stage of their learning.
"The school sets an extremely high bar for pupils’ academic achievement."
Jo Donnachie, chair of Governors at St Vincent's, said: "This is a fantastic achievement. We are very proud that the inspectors’ report really captures the ethos and high performance of the school. The Outstanding Ofsted judgement is well deserved by the whole St Vincent’s team."
