An old town centre dairy in Altrincham town centre has been transformed into a three-storey tile shop, which opens tomorrow.
Tile by Tile, on Church Street, is the former home of Starley Bikes and electric bike manufacturer 50cycles.
The 3,200 sq ft early Victorian building has been lovingly restored and upgraded over the course of six months by Basil and Dasha McFarland (pictured), the husband and wife team behind Tile by Tile.
Across three floors, it displays and sells ceramic and porcelain tiles and wall coverings from world-leading manufacturers and will include some UK-exclusive premium ranges as well as extra large format tiles that are not widely available on the high street.
In time, the open-plan top floor of the building will offer a top spec co-working, research and presentation space for architects and designers, available for their own private or co-working use on long or short-term arrangements.
Tile by Tile, 28 Church Street, Altrincham, WA14 4DW. Opens 9.30 to 5, Monday to Saturday.
