After a two-week lay-off the Robins are set to host Notts County tomorrow at J Davidson Stadium at 3pm.

In their last outing two weeks ago, Altrincham conceded a penalty to Wealdstone FC in the 101st minute, losing the game 1-0 to their part time rivals.

Prior to the spot kick Brad Jackson received a red card ten minutes from time for bringing Craig Fasanmade down on the halfway line.

“It was a diabolical decision to send off Brad Jackson. There are so many professional fouls that are far worse than that which are only given a yellow card,” said Parkinson.

A large crowd is expected for tomorrow’s game

The match was somewhat overshadowed by Connor Kirby’s horrific injury.

“It was a very emotional day. No one wants to see what happened to Connor,” said Parkinson.

“The match was close to being abandoned but all the players wanted to carry on.”

Saturday’s game against Notts County is set to be a blockbuster for the Alty fans and management.

The Robins took all three points in the last home game against Dover

“I can’t wait for it; these really are the games you want to be in this division for,” said Parkinson.

He added: “We are about creating special memories in this division, Torquay at the start of the season set a precedent for that.

“We have the capability of upsetting every team in the division.”

The Nottinghamshire club sit 4th in the National League with 15 points from seven games.

The Robins, who sit 11 places below their opponents, have picked up six points from their opening four fixtures.

A bout of Covid-19 in the dressing room forced Altrincham to suspend their last two scheduled fixtures.

“Not playing the two games didn’t faze us as we have been in this situation before,” said Parkinson.

“In a part time environment, though, it has made training and preparation very difficult.”

In injury news, Connor Hampson is said to be two weeks ahead of schedule.

Full-backs Shaun Densmore and Andy White are close to making a full recovery, with all of them expecting to go out on loan in the near future.
