Organisers say The Brit Fest will be the perfect first festival for families looking for an unforgettable weekend this summer.
The inaugural festival will take place across 100 acres of the Ashley Hall Showground in Altrincham, from July 5th to 7th.
Some of the best-known stars of British music will grace the festival’s main stage, including Bonnie Tyler, Scouting for Girls, Cast, Dodgy, The Feeling, Paul Young, Kim Wilde, Tunde from The Lighthouse Family, T’Pau, Toploader, Fleur East, Heather Small, Sonia and Hot Chocolate.
And there's also a full line-up of bands, choirs, DJs, solo acts, cover outfits, authors, wellness experts and motivational speakers on the site’s ABC+ Warranty Stage including M60, The Covasettes, Prose, Daisy Valentine, Megan Wyn and many more.
It's set to be the must-see local event of the summer - and organisers Anthony and Ed Prophet say it will be the ideal first festival for younger people.
"We all remember the thrill of our first live gig or festival and The Brit Fest has been specifically designed to be as family-friendly as possible," they said.
"There will be so many huge stars on Altrincham's doorstep over the weekend of July 5th to 7th and it's clear that many local families have already made sure they will not miss out.
“And don’t forget you can simply go for the day out, or enjoy the full experience with a weekend camping ticket.”
Aside from the music, The Brit Fest will boast a huge programme of festival entertainment including the John Collins Fun Fair with some huge ride attractions, The Extreme Mountain Bike Show featuring European Champion Danny Butler, yoga and mindfulness from Yogalife in the Mindful Meadow and rides for the young ones in Tinker Town.
The Taste Cheshire Village within the Village Green will also feature local producers and retailers, and there will also be the UK’s ultimate axe-throwing experience, a solar-powered vintage caravan showing classic British short films, recycling workshops, a Glam Shack, crafts, vintage clothing and classic car displays.
Organisers have also recently revealed details of the regular shuttle bus rides that will take local people to the festival site, with stops in Hale Barns, the J Davidson Stadium, Altrincham Interchange, Hale Station, Knutsford and Ashley.
Anthony Prophet added: “With two months to go until we throw open the festival ground doors, it’s full steam ahead behind the scenes to make sure The Brit Fest is the most exciting and successful event of the summer.
“We’ve brought together a brilliant line-up of talent to thrill music fans and a huge range of entertainment and experiences for audiences of all ages – 100 acres of it in fact - on one festival ground.
“Whether you’re a regular festival goer or someone who has thought about going to a festival but never done it until now, we can promise you a very special weekend this July.”
The Brit Fest is sponsored by Altrincham-based law firm Myerson, and other festival partners include ABC+ Warranty, Delta Hotels, Camden Town Brewery, Ashley Hall Showground, Go Goodwins, LWC and Marlish.
