The Brit Fest is celebrating after its inaugural event saw 15,000 people travel to Altrincham from all over the country.

The three-day festival took place at the Ashley Hall Showground over the weekend and its success has ensured that a second event is now confirmed for July 4-6 2025.

The Brit Fest featured a packed programme of performances from some of the biggest and most iconic British music acts, including headliners Scouting for Girls, Bonnie Tyler and Heather Small.

The main stage also saw appearances from T’Pau, Nik Kershaw, Kim Wilde, Paul Young, Sonia, Deniece Pearson, Owen Paul, The Real Thing, Cast, Dodgy, The Feeling, Fleur East, Hot Chocolate, Starsailor and Reef.

There was also a full programme of bands, choirs, DJs, solo acts, cover outfits, authors, wellness experts and motivational speakers on the site’s ABC+ Warranty Stage, as well as family-friendly fun with the fun fair and a myriad of food, drink and shopping stalls.

The Brit Fest was organised by Olivier-nominated brothers Anthony and Edward Prophet with the aim of celebrating the best of British music, food, drink and culture.

Anthony said: “It was an absolutely brilliant festival weekend, with a fantastic atmosphere in the showground, and we were particularly struck by the sense of unity and community among the crowds enjoying themselves right across the whole site.

“Staging a celebration like The Brit Fest – bringing a festival to our community of Altrincham and creating lifetime memories - has been something we’ve wanted to do for a long time. And we were proud to be able to offer such a strong programme for our inaugural event.

“It’s also a great base from which to plan our future festivals – I am pleased to announce that The Brit Fest will return in 2025!”

Feedback from attendees was also very positive. Lyndsey Holden said: “Brit Fest was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, range of activities and fantastic entertainment made for an unforgettable experience."

Judie Tingle added: “Absolutely fantastic! I loved it! Happy and perfect atmosphere, everyone happy - no trouble. Very friendly vibe.”

The Brit Fest was sponsored by local law firm Myerson, while festival partners included ABC+ Warranty, Delta Hotels, Camden Town Brewery, Ashley Hall Showground, Go Goodwins, LWC and Marlish.

The Brit Fest will return next year from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th July 2025 - you can register on the website to receive the first news on the release of tickets.
