A Taste of Altrincham returns this week with a packed programme of food and drink events

It all kicks off on Thursday.

A Taste of Altrincham returns this week for its second year, bringing 10 days of dining events, chef demonstrations, workshops and tastings to venues across the town.

The festival kicks off on Thursday 26th February with 'The Opening Glass', a wine tasting at Jardim Rodizio on Stamford New Road (Book: jardimrodizio.co.uk or call 0161 509 6197

Friday's programme features three evening events:

Jamaican Movement and Pattie Experience at Jenna Patties Co – a 90-minute cultural experience combining food, movement and storytelling at the Moss Lane bakery. Book: DM @jennapattiesco on Instagram

Saturday brings a full day of activity at Altrincham Town Hall, including:

In Conversation with Emma Thackray, Co-founder of Hip Pop – A must for anyone interested in gut health or growing a brand – or both! Tickets include a pack of 4 cans for delicious Hip Pop kombucha. Book: Eventbrite

Build Your Own Charcuterie Cups with Amy Regan of Kit:ch – Learn the secrets to building a charcuterie cup, and enjoy what you have made. Book: Eventbrite

Samosa Chaat Workshop with Shere Khan Kitchen – Learn how to make the ultimate Indian street food - golden, crispy and bursting with flavour. Book: Eventbrite

Family-friendly workshops over the weekend include The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Arty Pasta Party at OYEZ Arts and Mudcake Munchkins with Cheshire Cookery School (book at thecheshirecookeryschool.com or call 0161 928 5120).

Sunday's highlights include The Ultimate Chef Challenge at Altrincham Town Hall, where two local chefs will go head-to-head in a mystery bag showdown, plus a Sourdough Class at MOST Bakery with co-owner Matt (DM @mostbakeryalty on Instagram or call 0161 929 1763) and I Can't Draw! – Still Life for Absolute Beginners at OYEZ Arts.
