Snow returned to Altrincham this morning for the first time in almost a year - since January 19th 2023, in fact.
Local residents awoke to a decent dusting that added a slight complication to this morning's commute - and provoked much excitement from children across the town.
No major travel disruption was reported and the snow had started to clear by lunchtime after a few further drifts after sunrise.
