Legendary chef Antonio Carluccio was in Hale tonight to officially open the latest branch of his eponymous restaurant, cafe and deli chain.
The 77-year-old Italian, the star of BBC2’s Two Greedy Italians, joined Mayor of Trafford, Cllr Ejaz Malik, Trafford Council leader Sean Anstee and the great and good of Hale as they enjoyed prosecco, antipasti and a hog roast at the Victoria Road eaterie.
Last week we carried exclusive first shots of the interior of Hale’s latest Italian, the replacement for The American Bar which closed suddenly earlier this year.
