Burglars struck five times within a few hours in Hale yesterday.

Police reported that the five burglaries had all happened within very close proximity to each other – on Ollerbarrow Road, Belmont Road, Broomfield Lane, Park Drive and Woodhead Road – during yesterday afternoon and evening.

We’ve contacted the police for any more information about the incidents.

There were two further Hale-based burglaries on Monday – on Harrop Road, when the offenders damaged a ground floor window to gain entry and proceeded to steal property – and on Old Meadow Lane, when a vehicle was stolen.

Officers have warned householders to refrain from leaving car keys, Christmas presents and valuables within sight.

They’ve also asked anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or to call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
