Man, 20, charged in relation to Barclays Bank robbery in Hale

A 20-year-old man has been charged in relation to a robbery at a bank in Hale last month.

A 20-year-old man has been charged in relation to a robbery at a bank in Hale last month.

Ryan Ward, of no fixed address, has been charged with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and escaping lawful custody.

The charge relates to a robbery at Barclays Bank on Ashley Road at 3.30pm on October 30th.

An unknown quantity of cash was taken in the incident; two members of staff and a customer were inside the bank at the time.

Ward has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Manchester City Magistrates’ Court today.
