Families can now have a fun day out with festive activities at Dunham Massey’s Christmas Courtyard.

The Georgian house’s historic servant’s courtyard is now full of Christmas decorations and activities for all the family.

Visitors can come to the Christmas Courtyard, where there will be craft workshops and games to play, from 11am to 3.30pm every day until Sunday December 23rd.

Tickets to the Courtyard will cost £12.50 for adults and £6.25 for children. Under-fives and National Trust members can get in for free.

Visitor Experience Officer Milly Greenall said: “Come and step back in time to enjoy an Edwardian Christmas at Dunham Massey.

“You’ll have a magical day out with the chance to explore the servants’ quarters in the house and see them decorated in all their festive glory for the Christmas season.”

Children will have the chance to post their letters to Father Christmas at his sleigh in the Dairy room and there will also be storytelling sessions at the weekends.

The seasonal children’s trail, priced at £2 each, will take your little ones back in time to help Edwardian children, Roger and Jane, who lived at Dunham over a hundred years ago.

Kids will be tasked with finding Roger and Jane’s toys which have been hidden by their mischievous dog, Buzz. After all the toys are found, participants can claim a prize of their own.

Visitors can also learn about Edwardian Christmas traditions and add their own Christmas tradition alongside Dunham Massey’s family stockings.

Tickets for the Christmas Courtyard and children’s trail can be bought at the Visitor Reception but do not include a meet Father Christmas event.

Tickets are also still available for the after-dark Christmas events at Dunham Massey.
