Two police vehicles were rammed by offenders in a stolen car during a dramatic incident in Timperley yesterday.

Police have released an image showing a Hyundai police car with severe damage to its front driver side.

It’s understood that the other police vehicle, an unmarked car, also suffered significant damage.

Although some injuries were suffered by officers attending the incident, none were considered serious enough to require hospital treatment.

Sylvan Avenue in Timperley

Police said that offenders were disturbed during a burglary on Sylvan Avenue in Timperley in the early hours of Sunday morning, with the police vehicles rammed as they tried to escape, apparently in a vehicle they had just stolen from the property.

Officers said the stolen vehicle was recovered.

The offenders haven’t yet been tracked down however, and police have appealed for anyone with information or any CCTV or contact 101 quoting Log 514 270119.
