A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at an Altrincham house earlier this week in which a dog was attacked with a machete. A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at an Altrincham house earlier this week in which a dog was attacked with a machete.

The man, 35, has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police were called out to the address on Lloyd Gardens in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

CCTV footage from the incident showed three masked men breaking through a window at the flat where a man, his fiancée and a six-month-old baby were living.
