Police appeal for more victims after boy, 15, charged with multiple sex offences

The teenager appeared in court this week.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with multiple sex offences following incidents in Stretford and Sale, with police believing there may be additional victims.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police's Trafford North Neighbourhood Policing Team have charged the teenager with three counts of sexual assault and two counts of indecent exposure after a series of incidents between February and June this year.

The charges relate to reports from three women who were allegedly sexually assaulted, along with two separate incidents of indecent exposure - one in Stretford and another near the canal in Sale.

The teenager was arrested on Sunday and appeared in court this week, where he admitted to all five offences. He has been released on bail and will be sentenced in August.

Inspector Scott Wolstenholme, of the Trafford North Neighbourhood Policing Team, said officers had deployed both high-visibility and covert patrols in the affected areas in response to the reports.

"Extra officers will continue to patrol the areas to deter further incidents as we know reports of this nature will cause concern," Inspector Wolstenholme said.

"We strongly encourage anyone who may have been the victim of a sexual assault or witnessed any of the incidents to contact us."

Police have emphasized that specialist support is available for anyone who has been affected by similar incidents. The Trafford North team has dedicated neighbourhood officers who can speak with anyone who has information, alongside specialist officers trained to support victims.

Anyone with information about these incidents or who believes they may have been a victim should contact police on 101, quoting log number 732-150625.

Information can also be reported anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via the reporting tools on the Greater Manchester Police website.
