An Altrincham cafe has released images of two males it says were responsible for a robbery yesterday.

The two males, only one of whom was wearing a mask, entered Bap, on George Street, at 4.21pm yesterday afternoon.

They stole two bottles of gin – one a bottle of Altrincham Football Club gin, the other a bottle of Iddon Special Reserve Gin named after motorcyle racer Christian Iddon – and ran out of the cafe.

The two males alleged to have stolen bottles of gin from Bap

Co-owner Dom Richards told us that “no one luckily was hurt but it was very frustrating”.

He added: “We believe they are well known to the police and one is on bail for theft from other shops. His name has been passed to the police.”

The cafe has released two CCTV images of the males in an attempt to identify them.
