Everton goalkeeper Robin Olsen was subjected to a terrifying robbery at his home in Altrincham, reports have claimed today.
According to the Daily Mail, the 39-year-old was held at knife point in front of his wife and two children, who are aged five and two.
The masked raiders “marched” Olsen around his home, threatened him with a knife and escaped with jewellery and a luxury watch.
No one is thought to have been injured during the robbery – which happened on Saturday night – but reports claim it was “deeply traumatising” for those involved.
Olsen joined Everton on loan from Roma at the start of the season.
We have contacted Greater Manchester Police about the matter.
Everton said they were “offering Robin and his family as much support as is possible”.
