The aerial photographs were taken from the top of a crane towering over The Down’s Quarter, House Crowd Developments’ new town centre residential scheme.

As well as showing the Chapel Street development, Altrincham Market and the newly constructed health and wellbeing centre, the photos also show Manchester city centre to the north and the rolling Pennines and Peak District to the east.

The Downs Quarter is a mix of apartments, townhouses and innovative live/work units just off The Downs, designed by local architecture practice, Calderpeel.

Looking towards Bowdon

Currently underway is The Place, providing six two- and three-bedroom apartments and four three-bedroom mews townhouses.

Phase 2 will deliver a further 24 one- and two-bedroom apartments in a contemporary building called ‘The Blok’, along with four live/work townhouses called The Works; an innovative new concept that combines high quality three-bedroom living accommodation with contemporary style ground floor retail or studio space.

A brand-new public promenade, called ‘The Bowling Alley’, will be created off Railway Street to allow for residents’ access.

The properties are being marketed by Gascoigne Halman and will be released for sale at a special launch event at The Con Club tomorrow, and then to the open market.

Attendance at the pre-launch event is by pre-booked appointment only and the event is being run in line with the Government’s “Rule of 6” policy, which came into effect today.
