The Cinnamon Club celebrates its 14th birthday this Friday – and the Bowdon venue is putting on a special night to mark the occasion.
Five-piece The Alphabets, who toured internationally in the 60s and 70s with the likes of James Brown, Tina Turner, Jimmy Cliff and Wilson Pickett, will be bringing their classic mix of soul, funk, reggae and ska to Altrincham for a night of unforgettable live music.
And we have 20 tickets to give away to the first 10 couples to email abi@thecinnamonclub.net with Altrincham Today in the subject line.
It’s a great chance to experience The Cinnamon Club and see why it is regarded as one of the best-loved live venues in the region.
Owner Neil Hughes and music promoter Abi Richardson continue to put on an ever-changing weekly programme of music.
From jazz to pop, blues to Americana, the dance floor regularly attracts over a hundred people for the regular swing nights, while the dark and moody Lounge – with black and white photos of the jazz greats adorning the walls – is like a 1930s Speakeasy.
Over the 14 years, it’s been home to over 1,000 gigs, 1,000 parties and 300 weddings.
Don’t miss out this Friday – see The Alphabets live at The Cinnamon Club’s big birthday bash.
