Big Band jazz returns to Altrincham this Sunday as the acclaimed SK2 Jazz Orchestra plays the Cinnamon Club.
The band, who formed in 2013 to perform the repertoire of jazz legend Stan Kenton at concert venues and jazz festivals, was spotted by Cinnamon Club owner Neil Hughes when they played the Scarborough Jazz Festival.
He said: “The subtle interplay, the mesmeric orchestrations and the outstanding playing had the audience in raptures. I guess this is why the Big Band era lives long in the memory.”
The concert will feature some of Johnny Richards’ orchestrations of The Cuban Fire Suite and West Side Story.
Sunday’s concert starts at 7.30pm and you can buy tickets here.
