A brand new boutique jazz festival is coming to Altrincham next month.
Jazz Voices is being hosted at The Cinnamon Club in Bowdon and takes place over the weekend of April 5-7.
It will feature a total of nine gigs between the Friday night and Sunday night in what is described as a festival “focusing on the power of the singer and the emotions of the lyrics”.
Among the highlights will be Timperley-based musician LYZA, who will be performing the whole of Carole King’s classic Tapestry album in full.
And Tom Seals, labelled as one of Britain’s finest blues and boogie-woogie vocalists, will be playing another legendary LP, Strangers by Billy Joel, in its entirety.
Watch Tom Seals sing New York State of Mind by Billy Joel:
Other musicians appearing will be Jazz Award-winning pianists and singers Sara Dowling and Ian Shaw, Southport-born jazz singer Kirsty Tattler, the Sara Dowling Quartet and Alison Owen with Gospel Choir.
There are just 70 weekend tickets available for the full festival, which all include access to the private jazz lounge with food included and late night piano bar.
Tickets can also be booked for individual days and gigs – you can see the full line-up here.
