Shaun Ryder, the legendary frontman of The Happy Mondays and Black Grape, is coming to Altrincham.
An Evening With Shaun Ryder is the latest event confirmed for The Bowdon Rooms, and will take place on the evening of Friday 10th July.
Best known for hits including Hallelujah, Kinky Afro and Step On – the latter featuring the memorable line ‘he’s twistin’ my melon man’ – Ryder was a star of the Madchester phenomenon and famed for his hedonistic lifestyle.

An Evening With… will feature a fascinating interview with Ryder about his years as a frontman and his first-hand take on some of the rock and roll capers he is so renowned for.
Audience members will also have the chance to ask the singer questions about his career, which has latterly also included appearances on Celebrity Big Brother and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! He also appeared on Celebrity Mastermind, when his specialist subject was Manchester.
