Art students from Trafford College will be putting on a display of their work across Altrincham town centre.
The artwork will be shown in the windows of businesses and shops across the town centre, with each piece of work accompanied by information and a QR code which will allow visitors to find out more.
The initiative, which will run from June 20th to July 1st, is being supported by Altrincham BID, which produces VisitAltrincham.com.
Jane Andrew, Head of Art & Design at Trafford College, said: “We worked with Altrincham BID last year to display the artwork in the town centre because Covid restrictions prevented us from holding the exhibition at the college.
“It was such a success that we are delighted to be creating a fabulous outdoor gallery in the windows of shops and businesses again for 2022.
“By visiting the college’s town wide art show you’ll be able to get a real sense of the fantastic quality of work that has been produced this year by our students.”
Mandy White, Altrincham’s BID Manager, added: “It’s an absolute pleasure to work with Trafford College on this project again and we would encourage everyone to come and have a look at the artwork. We would like to thank the businesses who are supporting this project by hosting pieces of art.”
Participating businesses are dotted throughout the town, and include Smooch Shakes, Nerd, Stamford Cycles, Laundry B, Gran T’s Coffee House, Kutchenhaus Altrincham, Toast, The Wild Goose, Aura Music Academy, Delcor Furniture Cheshire, Rankin Styles Interiors, Batch Bottlestore & Deli, Evuna, Revive Skin and Hair, Jake Shoes, Riddles, Pi Bar, BrightNewMe, McHale & Co Solicitors, Church Street Antiques and the Best Western Cresta Court Hotel.
