Did he cheat? That's the question Altrincham Garrick Playhouse will be putting to audiences next month when it stages QUIZ, James Graham's acclaimed drama about the 'Coughing Major' Charles Ingram.
The play revisits Ingram's infamous 2001 appearance on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, which ended in accusations that he had cheated his way to the £1,000,000 jackpot.
Throughout the performance, audience members will be handed voting devices and asked to make decisions and answer questions before casting their own vote on the central question: guilty or not guilty?
A limited number of on-stage tickets are also available for those wanting to get even closer to the action.

QUIZ runs at the Garrick from February 2nd to 7th, staged by The Garrick Ensemble, a company of aspiring actors aged 18 to 30 from Greater Manchester and Cheshire who present one production each year as part of the Playhouse's Main House Season.
The Olivier Award-nominated production originally enjoyed a sold-out run at Chichester Festival Theatre before transferring to the West End in 2018. The story was later adapted for ITV in 2020, starring Michael Sheen, Matthew Macfadyen and Sian Clifford.
Tickets are available from £14 - see the Garrick website here.
