The Station targets new audience with £250,000 revamp

It's set to reopen next week.

Altrincham pub The Station is set to reopen next week following a £250,000 refurbishment.

The work, carried out by owners Blind Tiger Inns, includes a new bar, new flooring, upgraded toilets and enhanced lighting, along with the creation of an outdoor courtyard space featuring wall projections and TV screens.

Twelve HD screens have been installed throughout the building as part of the refit, with the venue aiming to position itself as a destination for watching live sport.

Chris Tulloch, managing director at Blind Tiger Inns, said the investment was intended to attract a different crowd to the long-established venue.

"The Station has been part of Altrincham for a long time," he said. "We wanted to completely transform the space to attract a different clientele and offer something for everyone."

The venue will offer after-work drinks deals until 7pm on weekdays, including discounted prosecco, £4 pints and £6 glasses of wine. Pool tables and interactive darts will also be available.

Food will be provided through a partnership with Nell's Pizza, which will operate a click-and-collect service from the venue.

The Station, a Grade II Listing building, will reopen on Friday 30th January. It will operate from 11am during the week and stay open until 1am at weekends.
