Members of interim BID board revealed

An interim board for the Altrincham BID has been announced.

An interim board for the Altrincham BID has been announced.

The board has been set up to guide the BID – which was voted through by town centre businesses in November – through its early stages and ensure the BID company is up and running by April 1st.

Its members are Martin Duff (Randalls Jewellery – Chair of Interim Board), Sue Aldridge (Altrincham & Sale Chamber of Commerce), Clodagh Buckley (TfGM), Paul Hindley (Cresta Court Hotel), John Keating (Databroker), David Wightman (Stamford Quarter) and Cllr Michael Young (Trafford Council).

A BID manager is in the process of being recruited.

Alongside the board, there will be three interim advisory groups focused on marketing and events, business support and finance.

Martin Duff, owner of Randalls Jewellery and Chair of the Interim BID Board, said: “With under two months to go until Altrincham’s BID goes live, the Interim BID Board will focus on the immediate priorities, such as setting up governance structures, recruiting a BID Manager and developing an initial action plan.

“Businesses in Altrincham have high expectations of the benefits the BID will bring, and the Board is determined to make sure we hit the ground running and make sure the BID delivers from day one.”

An AGM will be arranged once the BID is up and running, at which the membership of the board and advisory groups will be formally ratified.
