A Hale digital agency has paid tribute to its founder Stephen Alexander, who has died after a battle with cancer.
Alexander started First Internet, on Ashley Road, from his kitchen table over 20 years ago and built it to 16 staff and revenues approaching £1million.
The agency has paid tribute across social media.
"When you're 21 you think you know it all, when you're 30 you know you know it all, when you're 50 you realise you know f*** all."
Wise words from our founder and inspiration, Stephen Alexander, 1950-2019.

The agency said it would now be moving forward with a new management team comprising client services director Kat Rodway, Scott Baxter, head of development, and marketing director Julaine Speight, who is returns to the company after launching Altrincham-based JAW Digital.
Speight said: “First Internet and Stephen Alexander have always had a special place in my heart and there are some excellent growth opportunities to be had. We have a great, skilled team here, all of whom are hungry to push the agency forward as a collective in memory of Stephen, without whom none of this would be possible.

“I’ve already seen some exciting client wins since re-joining and am thrilled to grow the agency even further alongside Kat and Scott and the team as a whole.”
The agency has recently picked up accounts including Meridian Business Support, Kandy King and Marcia Mediation.
