National insurance broker A-Plan is to open an Altrincham branch in the unit vacated earlier this year by Dawsons music shop.
Founded in 1963, A-Plan is a leading UK specialist multichannel insurance broking group with over 1.5million policies nationally.
Dawsons ended its presence in the town in March after 15 years, saying a physical store in the town was “no longer viable”. Three staff were made redundant as a result.
A-Plan, which has 89 branches nationwide including one in Wilmslow, grew turnover by 11% to £93.4m for the year ending February 2018, with pre-tax profits up 8% to £29.9m.
