More than 500 roles on offer at Manchester Airport jobs fair

It takes place next month.

More than 500 roles will be up for grabs as Manchester Airport hosts its autumn jobs fair next month.

The free event, which takes place on Wednesday 5th November from 10am to 2pm at Wythenshawe Forum, will allow jobseekers to meet face-to-face with over 20 employers.

Manchester Airports Group (MAG), which operates Manchester Airport alongside East Midlands and London Stansted, will be promoting vacancies across hospitality, car parks and bussing operations.

And major retailers and hospitality brands including Fever Tree, JD Wetherspoon and Airport Retail Enterprises will be on hand to discuss openings, alongside key service providers such as Dnata, Mitie and AES - Ryanair's engineering delivery partner.

For those who may need additional support before applying, the Airport Academy - a partnership between Manchester Airport and Trafford & Stockport College Group - will be offering information about free pre-employment programmes. These include fully accredited training schemes specifically designed for jobseekers on benefits.

"We are excited to be hosting our autumn jobs fair at Wythenshawe Forum, giving people in communities surrounding the airport and beyond an opportunity to find out more about the varied career paths on offer in aviation," said Marcella M'Rabety, Head of Social Sustainability at Manchester Airport.

"We are proud of our role in serving those communities, not just by connecting them to the places they want to fly to, but also by creating opportunities for local people and ensuring communities share in our success."
