Five new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Trafford, according to Public Health England.
The increase, recorded in the last 24 hours, brings the total number infected by the Covid-19 illness to 12 in the borough.
Across the UK as a whole, as of 9am this morning, 1,950 people have tested positive out of a total of 50,442 people, with 60 deaths.
The news came as the government unveiled a raft of dramatic economic measures to support businesses and individuals during the escalating crisis.
