Trafford Council has called on visitors to Dunham Massey to park more “considerately” on surrounding roads.
The house and main car park at Dunham Massey has been closed throughout the Covid-19 lockdown, but visitors have continued to come to the area and some are parking inappropriately on adjacent country lanes including Woodhouse Lane, Oldfield Lane and School Lane.
Trafford says the parking is causing problems for residents and is creating an obstruction for emergency and other essential vehicles.
A reminder on this sunny bank holiday that Dunham Massey remains closed.

It said that parking enforcement officers were in the area and would be handing out tickets to anyone parking unlawfully.
Cllr James Wright, Executive Member for Housing and Regeneration, said: “We want people to enjoy Trafford’s countryside and stay local for exercise, but in doing so it’s important that people park safely and with consideration for others. Our parking team continue to monitor roads around Dunham Massey to ensure regulations are adhered to.”
The National Trust has also urged people to “use good sense and be respectful of other communities when deciding to travel for your daily exercise”.
It added: “Whilst there are public rights of way running through the park, there is no parking close to the park.”
