Trafford Council has produced a special guide for retailers planning to reopen on Monday.
The government is allowing all shops and ordinary retailers to reopen from June 15th, providing they comply with social distancing rules.
And Trafford has put together this guide for traders on where to find the right help and assistance to aid safe re-opening covering a series of areas including managing risk, staff training and cleanliness.
An interactive map is also letting residents make suggestions for practical measures that could be implemented to make streets and pavements more Covid19-friendly.
Cllr James Wright, Trafford Council’s Executive member for Housing and Regeneration, said: “We want to see our shops and high streets back up and running as soon as they can – but the best way to a prosperous future is for shops to re-open safely with all of the right measures in place.
“This will give customers the security and confidence to return to all the great businesses we have on our doorsteps.”
“With this in mind the Council has taken action by producing a short guide to help retailers find the information they need as well as an interactive map of the borough which can be used to make suggestions and comments on a particular road or town centre.”
