New data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has revealed that the number of Altrincham-based deaths linked to coronavirus fell sharply in June.
A map has revealed that for the period between March 1st and June 30th and registered by July 11th, a total of 77 deaths in Altrincham were recorded as involving coronavirus.
But broken down on a month-by-month basis, the figures – released today – showed that the virus peaked in Altrincham in April, when 39 deaths were recorded, followed by 26 in May and just six in June.
During June, three deaths linked to coronavirus were recorded in Bowdon, two in Hale Barns and one in Hale.
But there were no deaths linked to the disease in the rest of Altrincham, Broadheath and Timperley.

The figures exclude deaths of non-residents and include deaths were coronavirus was the underlying cause or was mentioned on the death certificate as a contributory factor.
