The final details have been announced for the inaugural Hale Barns Carnival, which takes place on the St Ambrose Playing Fields over the weekend of July 15th and 16th.

We’ve already revealed that a special ‘Night at the Proms’ will headline the Saturday night, with chart-topping disco legends Odyssey following on the Sunday night.

More acts now confirmed for the Saturday night include talented teenage crossover soprano, Scarlett Quigley, who will be performing on the main stage alongside the Manchester Rock Choir.

But there will be much to keep families entertained during the day too – between 12 and 4pm on both days there will be special Hale Makers Markets packed with the very best of local food, drink, art and craft stalls.

There will also be a funfair, dance showcases from Lord of the Dance Star, James Keegan’s Irish Dance Academy, Onyx Dance Academy and others, and a demonstration from Robinsons Shire Horses will be attending the event with a demonstration and opportunity to meet the wonderful Shires while on the Centre Stage.

And there’ll be an array of sports and classic cars on display – including a Delorean from the Back to the Future franchise.

Live music and entertainment throughout the free event (from 12-4pm daily) will include brass bands, contemporary singers, cheerleaders and much more local talent.

General and VIP tickets for both evening concerts are available here – and can also be bought at local businesses around Hale including Now Financial in the centre of Hale and the Holy Angels Parish Office in Hale Barns.

Organiser Max Eden said: “This will be the biggest event that Hale Barns has ever seen and it’s all about bringing everyone together to enjoy an amazing weekend.”
