Remembrance Sunday services will be taking place across Altrincham this Sunday, November 13th.
The events will give people the chance to remember those service men and women who have given their lives in both world wars and in more recent conflicts.
The Mayor of Trafford, Councillor Chris Boyes, will attend the Civic Remembrance Services in Hale and Sale.
The Mayor said: “It is so important we remember all the members of our Armed Forces who died to protect us and to protect our way of life.
“We have precious freedoms to choose how we want to live our lives and there is so much we can do that we often take for granted.
“It’s therefore right that we take a moment to pause and reflect on the heroic sacrifices made by our Armed Forces.
“I would urge everyone to attend one of the services in our borough in order to pay our respects and give our thanks in remembrance of the fallen.”
