Disco legends Boney M are to headline Bowdonbury Festival when it returns for a third year in May.
The festival, to be held at Bowdon Cricket, Hockey & Squash Club on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st May, says that this year’s line-up will be its biggest to date.
Boney M featuring Maizie Williams will play on the Saturday night, performing hits including Rivers of Babylon, Rasputin, Brown Girl in the Ring and Daddy Cool.
Local party bands and performers will also be on the bill.
The Sunday will feature award-winning tributes to The Bee Gees, Elton John, David Bowie and more.
The festival says it also working with an “iconic Altrincham brand to create a unique festival experience”, with more to be revealed soon.
As in previous years, there will also be artisan food stalls selling wood-fired pizza, gourmet burgers, crepes, Indian street food and more.
And the Bowdon club will be operating a range of bars at the event, and there will be a host of family attractions and main stage entertainment throughout.
Tickets and weekend passes are all on sale on the Bowdonbury Festival website.
All profits from the event will be going to support local sport projects at Bowdon Cricket, Hockey and Squash Club.
