The team behind a successful pizza ‘den’ in Bollin Wood is opening a second outlet in Stamford Square in Altrincham.

Into the Wild Pizza has started serving its popular wood-fired pizza from a horsebox unit close to the former Rackhams department store.

Founder Adam Taylor has been a lockdown hit down at the Bollin, serving up pizza and coffee in a woodland glen that’s only accessible by foot.

Into the Wild forms part of the rejuvenated Stamford Square, which now includes a Stutter Twitch bar

The bushcraft and foraging expert has created a menu that is inspired by nature, serving seasonal and local specials like foraged wild garlic, mozzarella, Parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, prosciutto and truffle oil.

The Stamford Square outlet will also be serving more traditional toppings like Margherita, and mushroom & ham, as well as wraps, fries and crepes.

Into the Wild, which is open initially from 12 noon until 9pm, joins Stutter & Twitch in a rejuvenated Stamford Square and is part of plans by Bruntwood Works and Trafford Council – the new joint owners of the whole Stamford Quarter – to create a community-focussed and multifaceted public square at the heart of the development.

Coffee and music caravan Stutter & Twitch has also just expanded into the former Cheese Peddlers unit on Stamford Square.

The bricks and mortar unit has been kitted out as a bar, with retro fridges serving beer on tap from the kegs inside.

The new bar serves 10 craft beers and a curated cocktail and wine menu, and is also planing a ‘melts’ menu, of cheese toasties comprised of Barbakan sourdough bread and locally sourced fillings.
