Altrincham's MOST Bakery has been named the best in the country in its category at Britain's Best Loaf 2026.
The independent bakery's Multiseed Sourdough took the top prize in the Seeded Sourdough category at the prestigious competition held at the NEC Birmingham on 14th April, beating nearly 200 entries from across the UK.
MOST also picked up silver medals for its Classic White and Malthouse sourdoughs, meaning every loaf the Altrincham bakery entered came home with an award.

The competition, organised by leading industry publication British Baker, sees entries judged anonymously by a panel of experts on appearance, internal structure, aroma, taste and mouthfeel.
Judges described MOST's winning loaf as a "great looking loaf with a lovely flavour to match".
Amy North, editor of British Baker, said: "Securing a category win at Britain's Best Loaf is a huge achievement, particularly as all loaves in the competition are judged blind.
"The Multiseed Sourdough from MOST Bakery fought off stiff competition. By receiving the honour of Britain's Best Seeded Sourdough, it has shown it truly represents bread making at its finest."

MOST co-owner Matt Townley said: "We're absolutely delighted to receive these awards. It's a real testament to the hard work, care and passion the whole team puts into what we do every day.
"We're incredibly proud of our Multiseed Sourdough, Classic White and Malthouse loaves, so to see them recognised at this level means a lot."
