Popular Hale coffee shop to open new outlet in Altrincham town centre

It would become the independent chain's fourth site.

Altrincham town centre is set to welcome a new independent coffee shop this summer, with Reggie's confirming plans to open on George Street.

The café will take over the ground-floor retail unit at 83 George Street - a space that was occupied by Claire's Accessories until January 2025.

The whole three-storey building at 83 George Street has since been sold after being brought to market, with Reggie's understood to be taking on the ground-floor unit.

Reggie's already has a presence on Ashley Road in Hale, and the Altrincham opening would become its fourth site, following other locations in Lymm and Lytham. A late-summer opening is being targeted.

Reggies opened in Hale village last July

Reggies offers "speciality brews, bakes, bagels, the good stuff" according to its Instagram page.

It was won a loyal following in Hale village since its opening in July last year.

The news is a further boost for coffee lovers in the Altrincham area, days after it we announced that Costa Coffee would be closing its Hale Barns outlet.
