A GP practice in Altrincham has been ranked the best in Greater Manchester in a new national survey.
The Family Surgery on Navigation Road received a glowing report in the annual GP Patient Survey, with 100% of respondents finding it easy to speak to the surgery by phone and 99% seen within 15 minutes of their appointment time.
The survey, run by Ipsos MORI on behalf of the NHS, is based on the opinions of almost one million users across England.
The Family Surgery, run by Dr Anoop Sahal, ranked 35th out of more than 7,000 surgeries nationwide.
Practice manager Karen Anne Johnson said: “We are absolutely delighted with the results of the survey.
“We are a relatively small surgery so we are able to really get to know our patients and I think that’s got a lot to do with the results.
“Our patients are centre of everything, that’s why it’s so important to get to know them so we can provide the best care,” she added in the MEN.
Another local surgery, Shay Lane Medical Centre in Hale Barns, came fifth in Greater Manchester.
