Friends team up to open Studio 34 Pilates studio and smoothie/coffee bar in Altrincham

It's opened in the former Poundland unit.

Three friends have launched a new Pilates studio - with in-house smoothie/coffee bar - in the heart of Altrincham town centre.

Georgia Graveley, 27, Hannah Atkins, 28, and Carrie Fannon, 44, have opened Studio 34 on George Street in a unit that was last occupied by Poundland two years ago.

It's a second studio for Georgia and Carrie, who have enjoyed great success with their first Studio 34 since it opened in Alderley Edge in January 2024.

Hannah, an Altrincham resident and former Loreto Grammar pupil, is joining the duo as a part-owner for the new launch.

All three are Reformer Pilates trained and make up a team of six instructors in total.

Studio 34 is the first place in Altrincham to offer STRONG Pilates, a high-intensity full-body workout that's suitable for both women and men.

Hannah told us: "It's a hybrid of strength training and Pilates, helping to build your big muscle groups but not stressing your body. Our sessions are slow and controlled, low impact but high intensity."

Studio 34 also has an in-house coffee/smoothie bar

Studio 34, named after the number of classic moves in the original Pilates repertoire as well as the number associated with new beginnings, is open seven days a week.

Morning classes start at 6.20am and run until 1pm, with evening classes at 6pm and 7pm. Pre and post-natal classes are also available.

A single class costs £22 although Studio 34 is offering a launch deal of three classes for £50. Subscriptions start at £200 for 12 classes a month.
