England rugby international Jamie George is to open a new physiotherapy practice in Hale village next month.

The Saracens hooker, who has been capped by England more than 100 times and also played for the British and Irish Lions, is opening a Carter & George physiotherapy practice on September 8th.

George co-founded the physiotherapy chain in 2018 alongside childhood friend Rhys Carter and it has now grown into a network of 15 practices nationwide.

The new Hale practice, which will be located on Victoria Road, will be a "world-class physiotherapy practice, designed for both comfort and high-quality care", according to Carter.

"I'm delighted to introduce our high-quality physiotherapy services to the fantastic community of Hale and Altrincham," said George.

"As an athlete, I'm passionate about bringing the same level of healthcare and support I experience on the field back to the local community."

The practice will utilise cutting-edge technology

The practice will offer a comprehensive range of services typically reserved for elite athletes, including traditional physiotherapy, dry needling, sports massage and innovative treatments such as shockwave therapy.

It will also have youth athlete screening programme, designed to prevent injuries and optimise performance for young sports men and women.

Women's health services will also feature prominently, with specialised physiotherapy addressing pelvic health, incontinence and postnatal care.

The practice will utilise cutting-edge technology including footscan gait analysis to create custom orthotics for improved walking and running efficiency.

Despite his demanding rugby schedule, George remains actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the business.
