A unique and rare opportunity for a highly motivated mature-minded person to join our busy team. Whilst we appreciate you may not have all the skills and relevant experience needed for this busy role, we are happy to welcome someone to our team that may have experience in their current corporate position in planning Conferences, Meetings and Events in their day-to-day role.
We are one of the UK’s leading venue finders, based in Cheshire for over 20 years. We specialise in delivering meetings, conferences and accommodation bookings, in the UK, Europe and worldwide.
The successful candidate will be required to provide an effective and proactive administrative function relating to all events and to efficiently collate our client requirements to deliver the highest levels of customer service.
We work on the Gratis Venue Directory platform and full training will be given. You must be able to work under pressure whilst demonstrating exceptional attention to detail. You will also need to be able to work across several events at the same time and prioritise your own time.
Key responsibilities
Be able to provide and end-to-end venue sourcing service, understanding, and collaborating the clients brief, to source suitable venues and locations.
Meet deadlines, be highly motivated, with excellent negotiation and communication skills at all levels, telephone, emails and face-to-face, along with excellent time management skills. You will work closely with our key clients and develop relationships across all levels of the M&E business.
Researching and obtaining quotations from Hotels & Venues, dealing with client briefs, sourcing event locations throughout UK, Europe and worldwide.
Rate negotiations with hotels & venues, working to processes and time frames to deliver fully detailed proposals and pre- and post-event support as needed.
The successful candidate will have impeccable organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people both inside and outside the organisation and enjoy working as part of a small team.
You will be highly customer focused, and have an excellent command of English language both written and orally. This is an exciting opportunity for a pro-active candidate with a can-do attitude and outstanding attention to detail.
