We are advertising for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to teach Voice Lessons on Fridays in term time to pupils in Years 2-6, commencing in September this year. The position would be a freelance one, with the teacher required to invoice their pupils and manage their own register. At the moment, we have five voice pupils already registered for September, but we would expect that the position would commence with 7-8 pupils, perhaps even more. There is definitely the opportunity to grow to a full day (or more) of teaching over time.

We are looking particularly for someone to teach proper vocal technique from the very beginning with pupils working, as appropriate, towards ABRSM (or similar) Voice Exams and entering festivals such as Heaton Mersey and Alderley Edge. We have a long and proud history of our pupils being selected for the Hallé Children's Choir, with a previous pupil also moving to Chetham's School of Music as a Cathedral Chorister.

Our school: Forest Preparatory School is a co-educational school located in Timperley, with a register of just over 200 pupils from Nursery to Year 6, offering peripatetic lessons in piano, voice, violin, trumpet, drums and guitar.

We have four Choirs, a String Ensemble and Brass Ensemble, as well as a large number of pupils involved in Musical Theatre through LAMDA. Our Lower School (Reception-Year 2) perform a Nativity production each year with the Upper School (Years 3-6) involved in a large-scale Summer Show.
