Altrincham was battered today by high winds and driving rain, with reports of felled trees and minor damage across the area.
Forecasters had warned of the likelihood of disruption caused by the remnants of Hurricane Gonzalo, which had caused widespread damage in Bermuda last week.
Perhaps the most striking incident was on Queens Road in Hale, when a tree fell across a road and damaged a number of cars.
Thankfully, there are no reports of any injuries resulting from the incident.
