Home furnishings retailer Dunelm is to open a major new Altrincham store on the Bridgewater Retail Park.
The company, whose nearest outlets to Altrincham are currently at the Trafford Centre, as well as Stockport and Warrington, will open a 20,300 sq ft super store in one of the vacant units next to Halfords on Manchester Road.
Contracts have been exchanged and construction work on the site is due to start next month, with an opening date earmarked for next spring.
Trafford Council awarded planning permission for the unit earlier this year.

Fast-growing Dunelm, previously known as Dunelm Mill before a £3m rebrand two years ago, currently has 148 stores nationwide with more openings planned throughout 2015 as it targets 200 stores in total.
It has a range of 20,000 home furnishing products from bedding to furniture, including made-to-measure curtains, blinds and accessories, as well as a click and collect service.
The new store is likely to create over 50 new jobs.
