Costa Coffee is to close its Waterstones outlet in the Stamford Quarter.
The George Street outlet is to close on May 9th but, after a short closure for a refit, will relaunch as one of Waterstones’ own-brand cafes.
Costa already has a large two-floor unit in the Stamford Quarter, which recently underwent a complete refit.
The Whitbread-owned chain also has popular outlets in Hale and Timperley.
Waterstones has been approached for a comment about its plans but has yet to respond.
